After allowing the photo club to sit idle for a year, I decided it’s time for a change and some new life. I’ve changed the name of the club from Optical D’Illusions to Framing Nature Club to better reflect our purpose. Here’s my vision for the group:
Monthly meetups on the second Saturday of each month all around Florida, not just locally. This will give everybody a chance to meet new people and experience more of our beautiful state that we might otherwise have missed out on. After the photo walks, we’ll find a place to go eat and chat.
Lots of entries from our members in the Florida Camera Club Council’s six photo contests throughout the year. Membership is free and the cost to enter photos is minimal.
Gain a good following of participants on Instagram who enjoy our daily photo challenges. I’ll post a list of the challenges just before the beginning of each month. Until we get enough people sharing the daily photos with the hashtag #framingnaturedaily, I’ll share my own daily photos. Ultimately I hope to only share entries from people who are using the hashtag so people don’t only have to see my photos.
That’s pretty much it. It’s always fun to get together with others who love nature and photography. Nature’s Pixels is going to be a fun way to make that happen!
To join the group, go here: https://framingnaturephotoclub.com/membership/ and fill out the form. Then head over to http://f3c.org/membership/join/ and sign up under our photo club, Nature’s Pixels Photo Club.
I look forward to seeing the club grow and meeting some new nature photographers! Please tell your friends and help us get some new members!
